Dundee Cake

Rumour has it that Mary Queen of Scots did not like glace cherries in her cakes, so a version of Dundee cake was first made for her, using blanched almonds in place of cherries. Who are we to argue?

Ours is based on a traditional, rich, handmade fruit cake with the added zest of tangy marmalade, spices, almonds (of course) and a generous dash of French brandy. Make afternoon tea truly scrumptious with this fruit-packed Scottish favourite.

Ingredients: Mixed Fruits (Sultanas, Raisins, Dates, Mixed Peel) 40%, Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour Calcium, Iron, Niacin Thiamin), Eggs, Butter (Milk), Brown Sugar, Marmalade (Oranges, Sugar), Blanched Almonds, Honey, Mixed Spice, Brandy 1%, Alcohol 1%, Orange Oil, All Spice, Preservative (Sorbex).  For all allergens see ingredients listed in bold.
